Philodendron Dragon Tail is a fast-growing, climbing Philodendron with a genuinely exciting growth habit. Its juvenile leaves are small and oval, but as the plant climbs and matures each new leaf develops pronounced natural splits and lobes that make it look increasingly dramatic. Given a moss pole to climb, it transforms from a simple trailer into a bold, fenestrated specimen with leaves that bear a striking resemblance to a Monstera but with a more elongated, pointed form.

Good for beginners? Yes. Philodendron Dragon Tail is easy-going and fast-growing. It is forgiving of imperfect conditions and rewarding to watch develop as the leaves change shape with maturity.

Safe for cats and dogs? Philodendrons are toxic to pets if ingested. Keep out of reach of cats and dogs, or explore our pet-safe plant collection.

Light needs: Bright indirect light produces the fastest growth and the most dramatic leaf splits. It tolerates medium light but fenestrations develop more slowly. Avoid direct sun and very low light.

Care at a glance: Water when the top inch of soil is dry. Feed monthly in spring and summer. Provide a moss pole or trellis to encourage climbing and the development of split, mature leaves.

Ships fresh from one of our two greenhouse locations in a nursery pot. Covered by our 30-Day Plant Guarantee. Free shipping on orders $149+.

A no-brainer
They taste good, arrived in great shape with no bruises, pricing can't be beat, and were just on the verge of being at peak condition which is just what you would hope for....not green anymore but good for several days. What's not to like? Prompt delivery. I don't know how they do it but they did. Five stars earned.

Just right bananas
Buying more groceries on Amazon lately. So, want to start sharing experience. The bananas were just right—not too ripe and not too green. Would buy them again thru Amazon

Received a perfect bunch!
Some things are truly hit or miss with Amazon Fresh grocery deliveries! I Some things are truly hit or miss with Amazon Fresh grocery deliveries! I hadn’t ordered bananas for about a month due to what I’d received in the past. Personal preference? I want those lovely pale green ends! Please!!! I don’t like the flavor or even the change in scent that happens when bananas turn darker yellow, freckle - or worse? Turn brown. Yuck. Each previous delivery, I hadn’t been able to eat more than 3 out of each bunch because of the already yellowed fruit received. I even tried the currently trendy recommendation of wrapping the individual stem ends in plastic wrap to help slow the ripening process. Was very pleased to receive a bunch of 6 small sized bananas, all delicately green and completely beautiful! Beautiful job by the thoughtful delivery person as well, who didn’t just leave the bags in the rain on the (only 2!) steps, but made sure they were under the protection of the porch and not blocking my door. Some items I never order anymore (beloved snap peas and garnet potatoes are two examples) after receiving spoiled items - more than once. Apparently notifying Amazon of our understandable disappointment, not to mention the waste! can sometimes improve the quality of items delivered. I do very much appreciate the Amazon Fresh delivery service in my (rapidly approaching) old age.
