We designed this as a food safe alternative to unhealthy and fragile 3D printed snack trays** commonly seen on Etsy and other maker spaces. The print lines of most 3D printed snack trays can harbor harmful pathogens such as E coli and salmonella which can even survive boiling water, microwaves, and dishwashers for most 3D printed products. Further, many filaments used in 3D printers may use the correct type of plastic (e.g. PETG, ABS), but the bright colors / pigments added are unregulated and may contain heavy metals and other toxic chemicals which may transfer to your children's' food.
